Westbury Panel Bed by Klaussner
The Westbury Bedroom Collection by Klaussner Furniture receives its design inspirations from modern and 1960s contemporary design. These designs are a fresh interpretation for those who experienced the 1960s; slim, tapered edges, asymmetrical divisions and scaling is definitely 2012. There's a teasing quality in the design of the Westbury collection. Almost everything in these designs is clean, spare and unexpected. Asymmetry rules and our eyes are easily fooled. Space is unevenly divided on vertical and horizontal planes and its always interesting. But even with crisp, linear edges there is flow between the different areas of each piece. The teasing concave curves on moldings, tapered legs and a dresser or bed that seems to float on its base conveys the movement that captures attention.
Amber wheat finish
Mindy veneer and poplar solids
Asymmetrical drawer fronts
A slim metal bar pull with a bronzed finish has a contemporary look
The rhythm of the framed panels across this bed’s headboard divides the space cleanly and balances the horizontal and vertical lines of the bed.
The sloped profile of the headboard’s edge molding is inviting to the eye.
The bed’s footboard is more conventionally designed with two panels, but its recessed frame gives a floating appearance over the base and legs.
