Shipping Policy

How Will My Order Ship?

We at Furniture Cart arrange for your order to be shipped via the most dependable, quickest, and safest way possible. We continuously work with the most prominent shipping companies such as TForce Freight, YRC (Former Roadway), R&L Freight, ABF Freight, UPS Ground, FedEx, as well as privately owned shipping companies specializing in furniture and home furnishings delivery and assembly. In addition, a fleet of Furniture Cart trucks is always on standby to quickly deliver orders in states near our warehouse and distribution center. We at Furniture Cart randomly inspect the merchandise prior to shipping/delivery. Please note that some of the merchandise might be out of the box due to inspection.

We have four methods of shipment available: Small Parcel, Truck Freight - Back of Truck, and various levels of White Glove services:

Small Parcel - Whenever possible we will ship smaller, lighter items via UPS or FedEx. These companies provide the fastest and most reliable method of shipping available for many items we sell. Depending on how close you are to the shipping warehouse, your item will arrive between 2 and 6 business days after it leaves our distribution center, or if it's dropped shipped directly from the manufacturer after it leaves the manufacturer's warehouse.

We do not require an adult signature for small parcel deliveries, but it is preferred for someone to inspect the package prior to accepting it. Please note that the decision to leave your package without a signature is at the discretion of the delivery person. If you want an item left at your doorstep, the best thing to do is leave a note on your door asking the driver to leave your package with "No Signature Required." Be sure to include your name and tracking number on the note.

Truck Delivery - Many items on our website are too large and/or heavy to ship via UPS Ground/FedEx. Truck Delivery is different than standard UPS Ground or FedEx.
(1) Once your merchandise arrives at the delivery agent's pick-up location, the shipping company will call you to set up a delivery appointment. Most truck delivery companies offer appointment windows (usually 2-4 hours) between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm EST, Monday through Friday.
(2) The products will be delivered to the driveway or curb outside of the delivery address provided upon purchase. It is the customers' responsibility to transport the product(s) inside.

Please make sure that you inspect the package(s) at the time of delivery. If the box has any damage, or if there is any reason you are concerned with its packaging or delivery, please write, "Product Damaged" clearly on the sheet the delivery agent asks you to sign. This simply ensures that if there is any damage, it will be easy to take care of the problem, and your order will be fulfilled as soon as possible.
Please Note: We can only cover issues that are properly noted on the delivery receipt / bill of lading. Furniture Cart, nor the shipping carrier, will be held liable for any issues not noted accordingly.

White Glove Delivery (Assembly Service) - Delivery to: Inside your residence to the room you choose. This includes carrying the product up to two flights of stairs from the building threshold (4-15 steps = 1 flight). If you need the product moved up additional flights, please contact us*.
Assembly Service: The shipper will unpack the product and provide a light setup that requires basic tools (i.e. pieces will be screwed or bolted together, set pieces next to each other, or on top of each other), the team will not perform services that require power tools. Packaging: The shipper will remove and dispose of all packaging. Lighting, mirrors, rugs, headboards attached to a metal frame and any items requiring home installation are not included in White Glove Service.
NB! Make sure your floors and walls are covered/protected prior to delivery as Furniture Cart nor the carrier will be held liable for damage to your personal property.
*In all cases the shipper will not hook up any electrical or component wires. Having items carried up more than 25 steps and longer assembly periods are available as additional services which would require additional charges.

When Will My Order Arrive?

Every product on our site has an estimated Order Process/Ship Time - the number of business days it takes for an item to be processed and prepared for shipment at the warehouse. For each product process/ship time varies based on many different factors. Some products are in stock and can be shipped within 3-5 business days. Others items require a longer time (e.g. 2-4 weeks). Each product page on our site includes the estimated Ship Time, "Ships Within:" to give you an idea of how quickly your order will leave the warehouse.

All shipping estimates listed on Furniture Cart are approximate and we always make every effort to adhere to them as closely as possible. Unfortunately, these estimates are dependent on product availability from the manufacturer as well as shipping delays en route to our facility. Therefore we cannot be held responsible for beating or exceeding originally expected delivery estimates that are caused by factors that are beyond our control.

When My Card Will Be Charged?

At the time of your order, we Authorize Payment on your Credit Card but no charges will be made until your order is ready for shipment. Please note that the merchandise you order must ship to the individual and address that are on file with the bank issuing the card. If you would like for your order to be shipped to an address that is different from the billing address listed with the bank or credit card company, Furniture Cart will ask you to notify the bank or credit company to add the shipping address as an "alternate" or "secondary" billing address. This will permit us to ship to any address you prefer including your work, vacation home, etc. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, however, this step is necessary to guarantee your protection.

Prior to shipping, your order will be "Invoiced" and your credit card will be charged. All Furniture Cart customers are contacted to confirm delivery and shipping addresses via phone or e-mail. This process runs in parallel to the change of your order status to "Ready to Ship" and the charge being applied to your credit card. In the event that you are not ready to accept delivery, we will be happy to hold the merchandise in our warehouse at no charge for 7 business days. After this time passes your account will be charged a storage fee of 2% of the purchase price per day.

Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii?

At the present time Furniture Cart ships to addresses in the Continental United States only. Shipping/White Glove Delivery (Assembly Service) costs as well as "Free Shipping" is therefore only valid for addresses in the Continental United States. At the present time, Furniture Cart is not able to ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.

Shipping Restrictions / Exceptions.

Items marked FREE SHIPPING! on the product page will ship for free! In order to keep your costs down and our pricing simple, we provide free shipping on all of our products. We won’t surprise you with any hidden charges or handling fees. The price you see in the shopping cart is the price you pay.

PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to ship/deliver to some restricted ZIP codes where transportation by ferry is required.

Beware of companies who mask their shipping charges and surprise you with prohibitive shipping and handling fees or oversize charges at the end of the checkout process. Make sure you know the total cost of your purchase when shopping around.

Exclusions: In some rare cases, due to shipping restrictions, we might not be able to fulfill the order. If we are not able to fulfill the order, we will notify you in a 3-5 business day, and cancel the order in our system.

For apartment buildings or homes with elevators, it is important to measure the elevator interior height, elevator opening, and opposite wall distance.

If delivery is refused because the purchased item(s) cannot fit into the home or room(s) by the delivery agents, the customer is responsible for any/all return costs in accordance with our return policy.

If, after numerous attempts are made by Furniture Cart to contact a customer, we are unable to reach them, we reserve the right to recall all merchandise and it will be treated as a return. Refund will be issued minus all shipping and handling costs that are incurred by Furniture Cart. A restocking fee of up to 30% of the purchase price may also apply. The same applies if a customer is not available to accept a delivery at a previously arranged time after an appointment had been scheduled and the delivery cannot be completed. Items offered with free shipping are dependent upon customer location and the size of the order. We reserve the right to alter this offer should your zip code lie outside standard UPS Freight and FedEx delivery routes. In addition, orders for items with weights that are more heavy than usual or expected may need to be readjusted for extra unforeseen fees. No additional fees will be charged without notifying the customer and obtaining prior approval. It is vital that any damages that are visible at the time of delivery are noted on the delivery slip at the time of delivery and are accompanied by the customer’s signature. If the boxes containing the items appear damaged please mark this very clearly on the delivery slip. If you have ordered for the items to be assembled and have noticed any damages during the assembly process, please make sure to note this clearly while signing the assembly service paperwork.
